KASSET
Music Lab Residency
Event Description
Meet Kasset, a fresh, genre-blending band made up of five CUNY students hailing from Colombia, Indonesia, Poland, and Long Island. Drawn together by their love of music and the shared chaos of student life in New York City, Kasset blends indie rock and R&B with a nostalgic nod to rock classics bringing something bold, heartfelt, and undeniably their own.

The story started with a duet. Juanita Herrera, bassist and vocalist, teamed up with lead singer Noah Tobing for a performance at the Brooklyn Music School. That spark led to a songwriting session with pianist/vocalist Amelia Marczenia. By their second jam, they were signed up to perform at Baruch Performing Arts Center. Needing a drummer and second guitarist, they reached out to Joey Milano and Faikar Fazazaman. The lineup felt right, the energy was there, and Kasset was born.

Between college classes, part-time jobs, and life in the city, they’ve carved out time to create—writing original songs that blend soul and grit, joy and edge. More than just bandmates, they’re a tight-knit group of friends growing together as artists.

Now, for one night only, Kasset is bringing their sound to LPAC’s Little Theater. Get ready for a mix of debut originals and favorite covers, performed live on stage for the first time. It’s more than a show. It’s a celebration of everything they’ve built together.
